30 Weeks!

I can't believe we are 30 weeks already!  Just 10 short weeks and LBD will be here (hopefully)!  I don't have much to post this week, so I'll just post this week's picture.  Unfortunately, I'm starting to have some swelling, which means giant ankles and shoes that don't fit!  I now know why the whole "barefoot and pregnant" thing is so popular. :)

Eric finished the cabinet this week.  It looks amazing and I love all of that storage!  God bless handy husbands!

Atlanta Shower

Yesterday, we had a couples shower in Atlanta.  We were surrounded by our closest friends and neighbors.  The food was great, decorations were perfect, and the company was fantastic!  We are so lucky to have so many friends to come out to support us.  Thanks to the hosts!  They did a fabulous job and everyone had an amazing time!  Here are some pictures:

29 Weeks

Only 11 short weeks left!  Our last couple of weeks have been very busy.  We have been tackling several projects at the house, we had our first shower, and we have another shower this weekend.  LBD has been busy this week too.  He has become really active and has done a lot of growing!  Check out what LBD is going to be up to over the next 4 weeks:
Baby’s energy is surging, thanks to the formation of white fat deposits beneath the skin.  Baby is also settling into sleep and waking cycles, though they don’t necessarily coincide with mine. Also this month, all five senses are finally functional, and the brain and nervous system are going through major developments.

How far along: 29 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss? Still haven't weighed myself.  I'll find out at the end.
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? Still none.
Sleep? Sleep has gotten a little more challenging.  Insomnia has kept me awake a few nights lately.
Best moment last week? Our first shower.  It was such a blessing to have all of our friends and family come out to support us!
Least favorite moment last week? Back pain!  I had the most ridiculous back pain this week.
Movement? LBD has definitely picked up on his movement.  I am starting to figure out his schedule, like being awake and playing at 4 am. :)
Food cravings? No real cravings.
Gender? Boy
Labor signs? No.
Belly button in/out? Still in.
What I miss? A nice glass of red wine!
What I am looking forward to: Our couples shower this weekend.
Milestones: No major milestones this week, just one more week down!  11 more to go!

It's Shower Time!

My sister-in-law, sister, mother-in-law, and mom threw my first shower in Huntsville this past weekend.  It was absolutely wonderful and more than I could have asked for!  All the decorations, food, and games were just perfect!  I had a fabulous time catching up with friends and family.  Eric and I are truly blessed, and it was more than obvious this weekend.  Eric had a fun guys trip to BWW while the ladies enjoyed the shower.  Thanks Steph, Ashley, Mom and Theresa for such a fun shower!  I am so appreciative for all of your hard work!  It made me feel so special. :)  Just a warning, there are a lot of pictures!

Eric's Been Busy!

Eric has been busy the past three days.  He installed the chair rail in the nursery and he built a cabinet in our back nook area.  I am so blessed to have a hubby who is so handy!  Thank you sweetie for working so hard this weekend!  Check out his handy work:

Nook Progress
Almost there!
Now, it just needs a coat of paint!

Chair rail is up!

This is probably the last nursery progress picture we will post before it is actually finished.  We are almost there, but we are waiting on a few little details.

Hello Third Trimester! 27 Weeks!

We are in the last leg of the pregnancy, the final 13 weeks to go!  There is still a lot of growing left to be done, but I can't believe we are this far already!  It seems like yesterday that I was staring at those two pink lines.  We have a lot coming up over the next few weeks.  We will be finishing the nursery.  We also have our two showers at the end of March, so there will be lots of fun things to post about over the next few weeks.

How far along: 27 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss? Haven't weighed myself in a bit.  Ignorance is bliss!
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? Still no.
Sleep? I'm back to sleeping great!  Thank goodness.  Give me a couple more months of that please!
Best moment last week? I saw LBD kick from the outside!  Finally!

Least favorite moment last week? 3 hour glucose test.  Enough said :)

More Nursery Progress

My parents came this weekend to help on the nursery.  We are almost there!  We hung everything on the walls and we cut and painted the chair rail.  Now all we have to do is get the chair rail installed.  That should happen this week.  We are so thankful that they came to help us with all of our little projects!  Here are some pictures of the progress:

Stay tuned for more!  In other news, our due date is 3 months from tomorrow!  How crazy!

99 Days!

Wow!  99 Days!  It's hard to believe that in (hopefully) less than 100 days, LBD will be making his entrance into this world!  I had a doctors appointment today.  It was pretty uneventful.  My blood pressure is looking good and LBD's heart rate was 148.

We are going to make some great progress this weekend on the nursery.  This weekend my parents are coming to town and we plan to tackle the chair rail and getting all of the art hung up on the walls!  I'll be sure to post the pictures Sunday or Monday.  Once all of those things are up, we will only have a few details left before the nursery is complete!  In the meantime, here are some pictures of LBD's closet.  We finished putting together the storage unit for the closet and it is ready to be filled with clothes, shoes, and toys!
