What a difference!

One year ago today, we found out that our little man Jackson was on the way!  What a difference one year makes!  It still amazes me that something smaller than a speck can become something so amazingly wonderful!

Who knew that two pink lines could bring us this little cutie!

We had a great weekend!  We had fajitas and margaritas with some friends on Friday night. Bama won a close game against Arkansas. Roll Tide!  And Sunday, Jackson had his very first play date!  Check out the fun we had this weekend!

Big sigh of relief after the win!

Jackson hanging out in the pool of balls.  He wasn't quite sure though.  The Hadsocks had the best play area set up for the kiddos.  They were great hosts and we can't wait for the next play date!

Max coming to say hi to Jackson.  Jackson's still not sure what to think. :)

A weekend at home

We finally got a weekend at home!  It was so nice and relaxing!  We watched football all day Saturday and did some chores Sunday.  Best of all, we got to enjoy having Jackson all to ourselves all weekend!  As a reward, Jackson surprised us with several milestones this weekend.  Jackson holds his bottle (really well too!), he found his feet and he rolled over for the first time!  Of course the moment I try to get it on camera, he gets shy, but hopefully I can get it on camera soon!  He is also trying to blow bubbles with his mouth, but he can't quite do it yet.  It is absolutely hilarious.  Here are some pictures of how we spent out weekend.

First Tailgate! Roll Tide!

This weekend we took Jackson on his very first trip to Tuscaloosa for his first "outside of the belly" tailgate! :) Boy, was it a hot one!  Jackson was a little trooper!  He never made a fuss, not even once!  The same cannot be said for the adults. :)  It was still a great time and Jackson got to meet some of our favorite people.  He loved all the sights and sounds of the quad.  We were lucky to have both sets of grandparents there (minus Grandpa Deahl who was visiting his alma mater up north, in a much cooler place!).  They were a big help!   Jackson got to watch the game at the hotel with Mimi and Papa while Eric and I went to the game.  We played Penn State and it was so neat to see Saban, Joe Pa and Bobby Bowden all on the field before the game!

It was also my first night away from him, which was definitely tough!  I made it though, but not without a couple tears first.  Enjoy the pictures!

Check this little guy out.  This is a 9 month outfit!

Already so independent...he always wants to hold his bottle.

He can hold it for a little while once it's about half way empty.  Don't grow up so fast!

Videos!!

Here are some videos of our little man!

Labor Day Fun

Jackson is three months old!  Our little man is getting so big that he is skipping right to 6-9 month clothes!  He has moved into size 2 diapers, which he won't be in for long.  He still eats 5 ounces in his bottles, but occasionally wants 6 ounces.  He has found his voice.  He is especially vocal when he is tired. :)  He is starting to bat at toys.  He can hold toys and rattles in his hands and bring them to his mouth.  I think we may have even got our first giggle tonight!  He is growing and learning so much every day!

This weekend we headed to Huntsville for the long weekend.  Jackson had such a great time hanging out with both sets of grandparents!  Jackson scored a cool new wardrobe for fall/winter.  Thank you Mimi and Grandma!  Jackson is so lucky to have a team of people who want him to be styling every day. :)  We also took Jackson to Muscle Shoals for the first time.  We ate lunch with Nana and went to the Lake.  Mommy and Daddy got to ride the jet ski on a beautiful day before we headed back.  We also got to watch Bama win in its first game of the season!! Roll Tide!  Enjoy the pictures from the weekend!

But I don't want to go to work...

Please don't make me!
