5 Months

So the little guy is 5 months old.  Well, he's really not that little anymore!  Our chunker weighs in at 18 lbs 15 oz!  So he is growing like a weed.  It is so amazing to watch him grow and learn.  He is such an observant little guy.  You can just see him trying to figure how everything works.

We have moved our way through all of the veggies.  His favorite? Squash!  Next up: Apples.  Yay fruit!  He has been able to recognize bottles for several weeks now, which makes it difficult on his teachers at day care.  When another baby gets a bottle and he doesn't, he gets seriously offended.  And don't let him see that bottle when he is hungry, because he will let you have it!  You can see now why he is almost 19 lbs!  He wants to do it all himself.  He is really good at holding his own bottle and can now bring the bottle to his mouth.  He also really wants to spoon feed himself!

He wears 6-12 months tops, but 3-6 month pants.  He is in size 3 diapers.  He has given up on the paci, which is great because I don't have to figure out how to ween him off of it. He is teething and we expect his first little tooth any day now.  He eats about 5-6 bottles a day.  He has cereal in the morning at daycare and a veggie/fruit at night for dinner.  There are now 12 kids in his daycare class.  I'm not sure how they do it!  He still seems to love daycare.  He really likes to visit the 6-12 month classroom because it's pretty hopping with movement.  His teachers think he is bored in the 0-6 month class.  He has also become the camera hog of his classroom, to no fault of my own :)

Big boy!

I make funny faces!

Nappy time!

Grandma Deahl came to visit this weekend!  We had a great time!  She even babysat while Eric and I had a night out on the town!  We went to see our friend Brad's band and we had a blast.

Happy Halloween!

Jackson had a great first Halloween with lots of fun festivities!  Friday, Jackson's daycare had a Halloween party and parade.  All the little ones were dressed in their adorable costumes!  It was so much fun.  Then, Papa, Mimi and Ashley came to visit for the weekend.  We spent the afternoon at the neighborhood Monster Mash and shopped the rest of the afternoon.  Sunday we enjoyed the beautiful weather with a long walk.  Jackson had a great time hanging out with his buddies at our block party.  Jackson couldn't wait to hand out the candy to the trick or treaters!  Enjoy the pictures!

Yay!  Papa, Mimi, and Ashley are coming!

Fall Fun!

Last weekend was all about fall fun!  Friday night, we had a pumpkin carving party at Jackson's buddy Charlie's house!  Jackson had a great time hanging out with all of his buddies and Daddy had fun carving a big A into our pumpkin!  Saturday, Jackson's friend Braxton came over to watch football.  We had a great time with Marty, Robyn, and Braxton and we hope to do it again soon!  There will be a lot of fun things happening this weekend, so stay tuned!
