Bedroom Makeover Part 1 - Furniture Makeover

I've mentioned over my last few posts how busy we have been lately.  Between tailgating, work and Halloween fun, we have been taking on the project of making over our master bedroom for the 2nd time in two years.  I was just not happy with how it turned out before, so we gave it another shot.

I wanted to keep it low budget and we wanted to find a way to use the furniture we were so lucky to receive when we got married.  We were gifted the dressers and side tables from Eric's parents.  After many, many cans of spray paint and a coat of glaze, we have brand new furniture (almost)!

Can you see the odd drawer out?  It's amazing the difference a coat of glaze makes!

I forgot to take a before picture of the dresser, so this is the best I could do

Bama Weekend

Jackson had so much fun at the first Bama game, he decided he wanted to go to another one!  This tailgate was one like no other.  The weekend of the LSU game was crazy!  There is no other word for it. We have never seen campus so jam packed with fans!  Even though Bama lost a tough game, a fun time was had by all!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!  This year, Jackson really got into the action.  First stop, the pumpkin patch.  He loves pumpkins, hopefully not because of the color :)  We took him to the pumpkin patch where there were lots of pumpkins to inspect.  Next, we enjoyed the beautiful weather on a hike at Sweetwater.  Jackson loved picking up all the nuts from the ground and tossing them in the creek.  He is all boy!

Finally, the fun stuff.  We started Halloween day with a parade at his school.  Jackson wasn't sure what to think, but was more than happy to carry his pumpkin around collecting treats.  After work and school, we got together with several friends for a pre-Trick or Treat potluck.  It was a blast!  Eric took Jackson to a few houses for Trick or Treating.  We finished the night handing out candy to all the kids that stopped by.  Jackson's job was shutting the front door, which he took very seriously.  Maybe he didn't want to share all of his candy :)

Bama vs. UT

We finally got Jackson down to Tuscaloosa for his first Bama game of the season.  I was a little worried since we would be out there all day and into the evening without anywhere to nap, but Jackson had a blast!  He was totally in his element.  He got to be outside and there was so much to see!  Needless to day, he was born to tailgate!  Mimi and Papa took him to the hotel once the game got underway since it was a night game.  Mommy and Daddy got to watch the game out on the quad.  It was such a great time and great atmosphere.  Jackson is already practicing his "Roll Tide" for the LSU game!
