One Month

Happy one month little lady! It seems like Adalyn's birthday was ages ago.  She is such a good little baby! We took her to her one month appointment at 5 weeks.  She weighs 9 lbs 6 oz (just under 75th percentile) , she is 21 inches long (50th percentile) and her head is 15 inches (90th percentile).

It has been a busy 4 weeks!  It seems like ages ago that we were at the hospital welcoming little Adalyn.  Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to the last couple of weeks!

2 weeks

Adalyn is two weeks old! We have had a great two weeks. So far, she has been a great baby. She rarely cries, and it is usually when she is hungry. She loves to be held and of course I can't resist holding her. :) Her days and nights are sometimes confused, but she is a pretty good sleeper.  We have to wake her up to eat since she is not back to birth weight yet. We are hoping by 3 weeks she will be back to birth weight. 

Jackson is warming up to his baby sister.  He often refers to her as "his baby." He asks to hold her and loves to give her her paci when she is upset. They are adorable together!

Adalyn's Birthday

Adalyn is here! Her birth story is a short one considering it was a repeat c-section. We got up a 4:30 am on June 4th to head to the hospital.  We had to be there by 6 am.  We arrived and quickly got the IV started and things went quickly after that for the 8 am c-section.  It was a whirlwind of nurses and doctors coming by to talk to us about the procedure.  At around 10 minutes until 8, the nurse came back to get me for the walk back to the OR.  The anesthesiologist got the epidural started and my OB came in after.  This is where I started to get really anxious.  Luckily all the nurses there really helped me calm down.  At about 8:10 they let Eric into the room and they got started.  Eleven minutes later, at 8:21, Adalyn was born!  She weighed 7 lbs 3 oz and was 19 inches long. She has a ton of hair and is absolutely perfect!
