5 Months!

Happy 5 months sweet girl!

You are such a sweetie! It's so hard to even remember life without you!

-You are almost sitting up on your own.
-You started eating some cereal within the last couple of days; up next - peas and carrots!
-You can still wear some of your bigger 0-3 month pajamas, but are in all 3-6 month clothing.
-You love to grab toys and chew on everything! You prefer chewing on clothes, blankets, burp cloths and cloth toys instead of plastic teething toys.
-Your favorite thing is kicking your feet. You kick, kick, kick all the time!
-Which brings me to my next point, you will not keep socks on your feet! We've tried all sorts of socks, boots, etc. You will not keep them on.
-You love to sit or stand (with assistance) as opposed to laying on your back.
-You love to watch people, look out the window, and observe the world!

What we've been up to lately

Trying to get caught up here! Life with two during football season is busy busy and the holidays are just around the corner! Ah!

So, over the last few weeks, we visited the aquarium with Eric's work. Jackson was under the weather, but we were able to spend a little time hitting the highlights. Jackson loved it!

Adalyn made her first trip to Tuscaloosa for the Alabama/Tennessee game! The weather was gorgeous. We had lots of great company, food and fun!

Here are a few pics from the last month or so.

Fall Festivities!

Fall is in full swing! There's football, cool weather, pumpkin spiced goodies....I could go on. We love fall!! Jackson was really into Halloween this year. He was very decisive in his choice of costume - Spiderman! He was even more into Trick or Treating. We could hardly keep up! Adalyn was less enthusiastic, but was still super adorable as a Strawberry!

4 Months

Our sweet girl is 4 months! So hard to believe! She weighs 13 lbs 9 oz. She is 24.5 inches long and her head is 16.75 inches.  She is right on the 50% mark for weight and height and her head circumference is in 90 percentile. It's safe to say that our kids just have big heads :)

I love watching her learn new things. She has started rolling over and can actually "play" with toys now. She is very observant and curious. I can't seem to catch her smiling often because as soon as I pull out the camera, she is instantly curious about the camera. She is still a wiggler. She somehow manages to move all the way down her crib at night while swaddled in her swaddle blanket. She also loves to pick her little legs up and slam them on the mattress while asleep. She wants to sit up so badly because she loves to see what everyone is doing. She loves staring out of windows and being outside. So much to see!

Happy 4 Months!

Big Brother Jackson

I realized that I have become that parent. I have lots of updates of Ms. Adalyn, but it's been a while since I've given updates on Jackson! The J-man is getting so big and so smart. It just amazes me that I can have an actual conversation with him. It also makes me realize how fast time flies! Even more so with two. He is so close to being fully potty trained. He has been in his underwear for a few weeks now and we are going longer between accidents. Without sharing any fun details, we still have a few issues to work out, but we are thankful that he has come this far in such a short amount of time!

Jackson continues to be a great big brother. He is rarely jealous of Adalyn. He mostly just asks that we put her down and play with him. He is anxious to play with her and I can't wait until she is old enough to play with him. He's offering big brother lessons, like "Adalyn, we don't eat our shirts!" (Adalyn has a habit of grabbing the bottom of her dress or shirt and chewing on it.) He likes to practice tummy time with her and reminds us of all the things she can't do because "she's a baby!" He loves to drop her off in her classroom in the morning and pick her up in the afternoon. He carries her bottles into school like the big helper he is. When she cries, he gives her a passy.

Sometimes I wish I can freeze time for just a little bit so I can enjoy this age for a little bit longer before they both grow up in a flash!
