12 Weeks

Jackson is 12 weeks this week.  Can you believe it?  He is getting bigger by the day!  His personality is really hitting its stride.  He is just so happy and content.  He is gooing and cooing.  He wants to giggle so badly!  He is getting close to rolling over, which is a little scary for Mommy :)  He is also getting the hang of this sleep thing!  He slept from 9-8 Friday night and he hasn't woken up for a night feeding in almost a week.  Mommy and Daddy were very thankful!

Happy baby!

So serious

Yum yum!  Nothing beats my hands!

Chubby cheeks

Mommy, your so silly!

Cutest. Picture. Ever. :)

Unfortunately, this post couldn't be all good news.  Last week we lost a very special person in our family.  My Paw Paw Martin went to heaven after 80 wonderful years on Earth.  Jackson was lucky enough to meet him about 6 weeks ago.  Our first scheduled trip home was supposed to be labor day, but Eric suggested we go home sooner than that.  I am so glad he did, because they wouldn't have had the chance to meet otherwise. I'm sad that we didn't get their picture together, but one day I will be able to tell Jackson about his Paw Paw and how much he loved him!

We will miss you Paw Paw!

Picture Post Take Two

There has been so much going on lately that I haven't been able to blog much.  Now I am trying to head to bed, but I wanted to at least post some pics.  I'll try to get a longer post in later this week, but for now enjoy some pics of our little cutie!

Ah...sleep!

I thought this week would be a scary week.  You see...Eric was in Birmingham for work, leaving me to take care of our J-man all alone.  Eek!!  This meant that the 2 week I was back at work, I had to do all of the dropping of and the picking up, the waking up in the middle of the night, washing the bottles, bath time, etc.  Boy was I glad when Jackson took it easy on me!  He was great all week.  We definitely missed Daddy, but we managed on our own.  Hopefully, Daddy won't have to go out of town for a long, long time now!

One other present Jackson gave me this week, was a full night of sleep!  Woo hoo!  I put him to bed Thursday night around 9:30 and I had to wake him up at 6:15 to get ready!  It was wonderful.  We hope he can make it a regular thing :)

10 weeks and getting big!  He's almost too big for some of his 0-3 month clothes :(

Happy baby!!  I've been saying that I thought Jackson looks more like Eric and the Deahl side, but in this picture I think he looks like me.

Cutie!

He has started to stick his tongue out.  It's hilarious!

2 Months

Jackson turned two months old last week!  Can you believe it?  Check out our chunky monkey!  He had is two month appointment and his shots. :(  The shots were harder on Mommy than him, but I have never seen his face turn that shade of red!  He as not happy, but it soon passed.  Our little guy is 13 lbs 1 oz and 23.75 inches long. His head is 16.25 cm and he is again in the 75% on all three measurements.

Jackson is such a happy baby.  He has really been talkative the past few days.  He is still working on the head control thing, but he is getting really good at it!  He has definitely found his hands and loves to chew, suck and stare at them.  He is so observant.  He can now follow objects with his eyes and he can spot mommy and daddy from across the room.  I cannot wait to see all the things he is going to accomplish over the next couple of months.

I think Jackson really loves day care.  All of his teachers are so nice.  He has been conked out every time we have gone to pick him up, so we know he has had fun all day!  Going back to work wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  It is actually kind of nice to get back into the swing of things, but I do miss spending my days with my favorite little guy.  Without further adieu, here are more pics of Jackson!  Sorry if you thought this blog would be about anything else. :)

I love my hands!

Can't you tell?

How long until Football season?

Chilling out like Daddy does it!

Jackson made his first trip to Charlotte this weekend to visit with his Great Grandma Watkins.  Jackson has finally met all of his great grand parents.  What a lucky guy!  He enjoyed his time in Charlotte and he cannot wait to go back!

Three generations doing what they do best!

Aunt Denise is so silly!

8 Weeks and Going Back to Work

As you can see, our little man was not happy about picture time this week.  One day he will love me for it :)  Jackson is 8 weeks now, which means I have to go back to work tomorrow.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at home with Jackson.  I am not ready to leave my little man at day care, but I am also looking forward to getting back to work.  It is going to be a hard day, but I know it will get easier.

Anyways, onto a happier subject.  Jackson is really starting to show some personality!  He has discovered his voice and babbles quite a bit.  He has also shaken some of his fussiness (not that he was really fussy) and has been a really happy baby lately.  He gives the biggest smiles!  I know he will be giggling before we know it.

How can you not love that pouty face!

Go Braves!

Too tired to play!

Another video of Jackson laughing.  The good smiles are at the end!
