Uncle Chad's Birthday Weekend

This weekend was a blast!  The Deahls came to visit to celebrate Uncle Chad's 21st birthday.  Saturday morning, the boys got to work on cars.  I sure wish I was old enough because, instead, Mom took me shopping for fabric. Boooring!  I just can't wait to work on cars with Daddy.  Saturday we went to the World of Wheels in Atlanta and saw some awesome cars, motorcycles, trucks and even a few mullets.  I sure would love to have one someday!  A car, not a mullet :)  It was so much fun, I stayed awake throughout the entire show, but had to catch a nap as we walked out the door.  Then, we went out to eat and had some great wings.  Again, I didn't get to have any.  Instead, they fed me a pickle!  I didn't like it, but just wanted to keep tasting it to make sure.

Then we had a great breakfast Sunday morning and I got to watch Mommy learn to sew.  We ended the day with some football.  My favorite!  I was so sad to see everyone go, but they will be back soon!  For now, enjoy some pics from our weekend.

All Dressed Up

So the snow has finally melted, we are back at work and school, and everything seems to be back to normal.  Saturday, Jackson got all dressed up for his buddy Max's birthday party.  Everyone was so happy to be out of the house after 4 days of being cooped up!  We had a great time catching up with friends.  Jackson played so hard he needed a nap half way through!  My camera also died, so I only snapped a few shots.  Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Snazzy!

Check out my argyle!

7 Months!

Happy 7 months!  Can you believe it?  Do I ask this every month?  Well, our little man is now 7 months.  The next thing I know, he will be turning 1!  How can he get so big so fast?!?

Anyway, this month we celebrated his first Christmas and brought in the New Year!  Jackson also attended his first birthday party for one of his buddies.  So many more to come! Jackson thinks it is going to be a fabulous year!  He is honing in on his standing skills, though he still isn't crawling.  He is showing signs of wanting to crawl.  He will actually pull on your hand and pull himself up, so we have that right around the corner!  No new teeth to report; however, it seems like he is teething like crazy!  So much drool :)  He eats solid foods 3 times a day and he is down to 5 bottles of 6 oz now!  Woohoo!  He is much better at spacing out his meals.

The big news is that he has moved up into the next infant class.  His day care splits them into 0-6 months and 6-12 months.  He loves it in there.  There is so much excitement!  All the other babies are MOVING!  I know he will be moving before we know it.  Unfortunately, his first week resulted in his first accident.  He fell over and bumped his cheek on a toy.  He ended up with a bruise, but it wasn't too bad.  You may see it in some of the pics below.
I know it has been a while, so there are a lot of pics to catch up on!  Being snowed in is helping me get caught up!  6 inches of snow in D-ville!  We have been snowed in since Sunday night and will have another day at home tomorrow.  Though, it's not really snow anymore, just ice.  The fun stuff :(  Enjoy the pics!

Sincerely,

Believe it or not, Jackson is the youngest in this picture, by 3-5 months!  I never really think he is that big until I see him with other babies!

Ready for my photo shoot!

This is all I could get from Jackson!  Once he saw those blocks, it was all over!

Oooh blocks!

Let me just play!

More standing practice!  I love to stand on my own!

That's right ladies :)

First Christmas

I'm finally getting around to posting the First Christmas post.  I am sure you have been anxiously waiting :)  We had a wonderful Christmas this year.  Steph and Shawn came and stayed with us in Atlanta for a few days before we made the trip to Huntsville.  Unfortunately, Jackson was battling a cold and ear infection (yes, for the 3rd time!) so he was not feeling his best for the trip.

We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Deahl and Jackson had lots of play time with family.  He got to visit with both sets of great grandparents on Eric's side of the family.  The most exciting part, is that Santa brought some snow for Jackson's first Christmas!  We woke up Christmas morning to a beautiful blanket of snow and it continued to snow into the afternoon.  It made for a very special day.  What made it even more special, is that Mimi and Papa Martin got snowed in and were able to make the 10 minute drive to spend Christmas with us!  Jackson got to spend his first Christmas with both sets of grandparents.  How special!  We were so sad to head back to reality after such a fun trip!  Enjoy some pics of our trip:
