Lately

It's been a while since my last post because we have been so busy! Our days have been filled with work, school, swim lessons, wagon rides and so much more. Jackson loves to be outside. He could spend every waking moment outside, which is difficult because it is so HOT!

Father's Day

We have been so busy, I never had a chance to post something for Father's Day. We are very lucky to have some special fathers in our lives! We love you very much!

First Birthday: Part II

Jackson is such a lucky kid. He got to have two first birthday parties! Last weekend, we traveled to home to celebrate the little guys birthday with all of our family. It was such a great, but busy, weekend! Saturday, everyone gathered at my parents house. We had a wonderful cookout and some delicious cake! That afternoon, we went to get Jackson's one year pictures taken. I can't wait to show you some of them! We spent the night with Eric's parents and Jackson has a blast playing with Sadie. It was a wonderful weekend. We are truly blessed!

1 Year

We made it! One whole year! One minute people are actually allowing you to bring a baby home and the next that same baby is walking and jabbering like a real kid. The last year has been the most amazing ride. Jackson surprises us every day. We feel so lucky to have such a wonderful child.

Jackson weighs 25 lbs 7 oz and is 30 3/4 inches long. He is still following the same path in the 90th percentile. His head is still off the charts, but is curving closer to it. He is getting better at walking, but the balance is still not great. He is very persistent though! Jackson has recently gone on an all fruit and bread diet. We try to sneak in some veggies, but he is onto our tricks. :) We are attempting to move to a sippy cup, but he doesn't care to drink his milk out of the cup. He still wants milk from a bottle. He loves climbing stairs, reading books, clapping his hands, splashing in his water table, combing his hair and giving hugs. :)

Jackson moved up to the next class in day care a couple of weeks ago. It has been a huge adjustment, but he seems to be doing well. He no longer sits in a high chair. They sit at picnic tables and chairs, which is so adorable. They also sleep on cots rather than in cribs. They get to have outside time, which I know he loves! This past weekend we celebrated Jackson's birthday with all of this best friends. Enjoy the pictures!
