Roll Tide! BCS Championship!

So, I know I'm over a month behind posting this post.  Eric and I were lucky enough to witness Bama win a second national championship in three years.  All of the Grandparents pitched in so that we could make the trip to New Orleans.  Though it would have been wonderful for Jackson to have been there too, but let's just say I don't find New Orleans "kid friendly."
We had a wonderful time on our mini-vacation.  We ate wonderful food, hung out with great friends, and best of all got to go to the Super Dome to cheer on the Tide!  Fortunately, Bama came away with a great win so the trip was well worth it!

First, Happy New Year!

Holiday Happenings

I know it's been a while!  Just waiting on things to slow down, but it doesn't appear they will any time soon!  We have lots of fun things to catch up on!

Well, last time we left off it was right before Christmas.  We went to Alabama for Christmas fun!  We had a great time spending time with the family.  Jackson had a blast!  He didn't quite get it yet, but he loved having presents to open.  He wanted to play with each individual toy before moving on, so we let him move at his own pace.  Jackson loved spending time with his Great-Grandmas'!  It was truly a special time!

More Christmas Fun!

We have been filling our days with Christmas cheer!  We have seen Santa, decorated our tree, enjoyed holiday parties and took a visit to Stone Mountain.  It's funny how having a kid makes you feel like a kid again at Christmas!  I love seeing his face light up he sees lights and decorations.  He loves inflatables!

Last weekend we went to Stone Mountain for a Stone Mountain Christmas.  If you have never heard of Stone Mountain, Google it.  It is a really cool place.  We didn't have enough time there to enjoy all of the attractions, but we had a great time!  We got to see a show and see Santa in a parade.  When it got dark, the entire place is lit up!  It is gorgeous!

Our visit with Santa
He was just a bit confused, but there were no tears!  I think that is a success!

Excited to go to Stone Mountain

This picture perfectly captures the mood of the evening!  Jackson was having a blast!

Waiting for the parade to start

It's "snowing"!

Enjoying the lights!

Just a taste of all the lights (this doesn't do it justice)

Merry Christmas!
